Marvin Guthrie just recently finished building the Gingery drill press and sent these photos to us. Marvin Writes. . .
I have finished the drill press, put finishing touches on it today. I made the work table support arm in one piece and step drilled the one inch hole for the work table to within one drill size, then finished with a one inch chucking reamer. That drill press really does a great job with those large drill bits. I've done everything but the metal brake from the seven book series now!.

Thanks Marv! I thought of special interest was your set up for polishing the drill column. I also liked the cast aluminum base you made for the drill press. As is the case with many of us, Marvin is running out of room in his shop so he built a table on wheels so he could easily move the drill press if needed. Did you notice that two of the wheels he used for the table are actually flywheel castings?
